I vaguely remember Ghost In The Shell on the PSone, and I only remember how funny it was. This, however, seems to look very nice. I'll await more gameplay feedback before I get too excited, though.
given the screens, that seems highly unlikely. i mean, in that game you were fuchikoma, in this game you're the chickie. and the dude. sorry, not a GITS fan. ^_^;;Originally Posted by MechDeus
also, i think exact -- the developers of the first game, as well as the team that actually did the coding/dev on jumping flash! and jf!2 -- are kaput. sadly.
uh... what are you talking about? that was a solidly good game, certainly not bad enough to inspire humor even if you didn't like it.Originally Posted by Nomi
No, no. You mistake me. I don't think it's funny because it was bad. It's just that it was one of the first games I saw for the PSone, and it was rather strange. I hadn't seen the anime beforehand and it made very little sense to me. Just recalling my fascinated confusion, that's all. ^^
I know, but I'm hoping it still plays in a similar design style and hopefully with some high-jumping Fuchikoma aspects. The inside portions of the first game could be done fairly close as a person (not that it made much sense to have Fuchikomas barging through some of those buildings like they had, but whatever), I'm just hoping this doesn't become a typical 3D action game with a license.Originally Posted by ferricide

Looks Oni-ish...
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
i thought that was her name, but i wasn't sure, so i didn't bother. i'll consider caring when the TV show comes out. i didn't like the movie that much but i saw it years ago and dubbed, so i'd like to see it again (but not enough to buy it.) i'll also certainly watch innocence as well. at any rate, i may care in the future. =)Originally Posted by MechDeus
While absolutely gorgeous the movie wasn't paced all that well and, much like Akira (though on a much smaller scale), it's more of a recap of events that got rewritten to fit into a smaller timetable. I liked the movie but they really glossed over almost everything and left out a bunch of other stuff and I could easily how someone wouldn't like it. I'd recommend the manga over the movie, but I think that's usually the case anyway.Originally Posted by ferricide
Since I'm guessing you haven't followed the storylines, SAC is an alternate timeline in which the end of GitS never happened. GitS 2 (manga) is the continuation of the first manga and I have no idea which timeline (if either) that Innocence follows. They really need to stop doing this.
Looks rad.
I'll buy it but I'm a Shirow/GitS whore.![]()
