I went to GameWorks in Newport, KY on New Year's Eve- it cost $25 to get in starting at 8pm, but what they did was set EVERY game there on free play, where you just hit the green button to register a credit. I milked the hell out of the Drummania 3rd Mix (playing with my own set of drum sticks rather than the ones that are so lamely tied to the machine) and had a blister or two to show for it. There was a live band after awhile that got loud and threw my game off, so I gave up on DM3 and started playing Time Crisis 3, HotD 3, etc. The Crisis Zone machine was in disrepair- the gun didn't recoil. I drank 3 Midoris while I was there, but felt fine the next morning. GW stayed open until 1AM. However, I did cut out a little early- taking a good 15 minute walk back to the hotel and promptly catching Z's after my return to the room.

A good restaurant that I went to before this is the Bamboo Club. This is a Pacific Rim Cuisine place that's not bad at all. I chowed down on some Phad Thai there.
