I agree that the iPod Mini *should* have been priced at $200... but even so, at $250, these things will sell like MAD.
At the moment, having an iPod is a fashion statement. An enourmous fashion statement. (If you see a girl with an iPod, flash your iPod and you instantly connect. I know this from experience.) Soon, if Apple plays its cards right, it'll reach the mainstream price-point and the mainstream will glom onto it.
It's the new "Walkman".

I agree but I'm sure some people will still buy them. Horribly overpriced in my opinion...if you really wanted an Ipod just pay the whole $50 more for the better model.Originally Posted by Chibi Nappa
Geez. Those things are tiny. I don't understand how anyone can NOT understand the appeal of a mini iPod even with "just" a 4GB drive.Originally Posted by jaysun

In fact, as far as I can see, the only thing Apple messed up on, is that they didn't build in a loop so it can attach to a neck lanyard.
Well the original iPod isn't very big in the first place, and I know for sure that I have over 4 gigs of MP3s. 15 is overkill for me but better more than less. I really don't give a crap about the color. Plus the mini iPod doesn't have the kickass touch screen. So yeah, for me there really is no need for this.
Pastels. What the fuck is with Apple and pastel colors.
The newer iPods have touch buttons and a touch scroll wheel, but not a touch screen. I have a 40 GB iPod, and I enjoy it. I can keep my entire music collection on it, and still have 10 GB of room left over to transfer large video files around [until i acquire 10 more gigs of music, that is]. 4 GB wouldn't even hold all the stuff that i have that starts with A and B.Originally Posted by Grave
Though so. My iPod has the touch wheel, but it still has push buttons, not the touch sensitive ones. I'm curious to try out the iPod mini navigation, with the buttons being actually recessed under the scroll wheel... it's a cool space saving idea in theory, but I wonder how well it works and how hard you have to push to register.Originally Posted by basemies
