I think Jersey is 17.

I had a friend in NJ who was all too fond of the expression "15 will get you 20", so I think it might be 16 in NJ. That's all I am basing it on though.

In Canada the age of consent is 14.

Speaking as a Jersey-er myself. I beleive the law is that if you're 18 then going after a 16 year olld is ok and if you're 19 then it's ok with a 17 year old. I don't really have any source for this... just some knowledge I've picked up along the way somewhere. Could be wrong.

It's something like that in PA, I think we actually have pretty leniant laws here, but I'm not quite sure. 16 is legal age in PA I think and it needs to be a 4 year differance (as in 17 over 13).

Actually, it's 14. Also, the law has an "and" clause in it, so both conditions of the law must be broken in order for it to be illegal.

So long as the child is 14 and the other person is no greater than 4 years older than them, it's legal.

Seriously, the selling of used schoolgirl panties is a Japanese tradition. How they can think about outlawing it is criminal.

I'm not totally sure that 16 is the legal age in Japan, but it could indeed be. I was shocked one day to see a TV program that was talking about ugly or average guys with hottie girlfriend. They showed this one 33 year old who was dating a hot 16 year old girl. I turned to my girlfriend, and was like, "Uh... it is okay for him to be admitting to dating her on national television?" and she said there was no problem. The people on the show were surprised to see him dating a girl so young, but there seemed to not be a lot of stigma beyond that.
