I find something like Sucker Punch to be funny, not a play on words from some kid.

    I've read your old webcomic.

You're hardly the authority on what's funny.

And I hope you know I'm just messing with you even if I don't use a smiley.

Maybe the kid was dumb for choosing the name but what damn right does that give Microsoft to go against a kid who has no way of defending himself?
Because it's MIKEROWESOFT. All one word. Not Mike Rowe Software. Not MRSoft. Nothing else.

He clearly was out to make a play on words. It doesn't matter if he was doing it maliciously or thought it would be "cute". They should just move his domain and have him change his company name.

  4. we had a few good ones in the 20.

  5. Microsoft was so wrong here. Fuck them. How can anyone confuse "Mike Rowe Soft" with "MicroSoft"? They are only pronounced similarly- not exactly, since "Rowe" is a longer syllable than "ro". It's possible that his surname could've been pronounced "Rau" as well.

Mike Rowe has the right to his own name. It's no different than Bob Jones using "BobJonesSoft". If I were him, I'd have changed the name to "MikeRowe.net" and turned the page background black to protest MS' actions.

How did Microsoft expect to get millions of dollars out of a 17-year old? You can't get orange juice out of the tree's leaf. Anyone who could confuse MRS with MS is an ignorant goofball. I do not side with Microsoft in this case- they're worse than the RIAA.

Quick everyone, trademark your own name even if you're not going to use it for a company ID. If someone else gives their newborn child the same name as you, sue their ass.

Microsoft also had agreed to help the teen get Microsoft certification training and other gifts, including an Xbox game console
How much is your name worth to you? Looks like about $180.
