After reading the Keiji manga in Raijin Comics since it began its US run, the character design for him in this game doesn't sit too well with me, heh. Oh well. I have no clue what the actual guy looked like...

This is in comparison to DW. I know that the actual RotK happenings were brutally rearranged and quite a bit of nonsense was thrown in. Fact is, however, the characters are somewhat true to their counterparts, and many of the locations were accurate. Sengoku Musou will be above and beyond the historical elaboration...

As far as characters go, I find Date Masamune (went by first name of Botenmaru, I believe) interesting. Any guy that plucks his own eye out (hence the name of the One-Eye Dragon) better be badass in the game. I don't know, but his exploits in actual history fascinate me.

Smaller maps? They haven't even upgraded the engine? Yeesh, it's not like they have no money or anything. RoTK makes a small profit, Dynasty Tactics did well in Japan, and DW is a license to print money right now.

Each characters has three musous now, and there are horses have lifebars. They have palanquins in the game now too.
Palanquin? Like, guys carrying you around?

CAW, I beleive Omega Force wanted to emphasize CAW as you can have CAW characters as bodyguards now(and they fixed my biggest problem with CAW, they have portraits on the life bars now) I believe all the DW4 characters will be available as CAWs . Toyotomi and Tokugawa should have definitely been in the game though
    Sorry, CAW?

While I wouldn't use that model and use something representing his likeness in Heaven and Earth. It is actually accurate to drawings of him.
Not any drawings that I've seen. I believe his armour has been preserved somewhere. When I think of Shingen, I think of how he looked in Kagemusha.

Heh, well, to be honest this doesn't really sound much worse than the RoTK guys. Many are using different weapons than they traditionally do (Huang Gai used a spear and a steel whip; in the games they have him using a club, Liu Bei used two swords rather than one, etc.) and they pretty much all look different than they're described. They generally follow the way they have been depicted in Chinese opera, but even then there are major derivations.

He's an individual whose reputation is built on wacky stunts like that. Politically and militarily he wasn't very important to the times, and only came along once everything had been pretty much decided.

    Sorry, CAW?
CAW = Create a Warrior, most heavily anticipatated innovation about dw four, but dissapointing do to severe limitiations. I'm expecting they do it right this time. And yep you can have four characters carry you around a palanquin.

Everything about Samurai Warriors screams smaller but better. Too much character cloneage in dynasty warriors, so limit the characters in samurai warriors. Too much fog in dw, make the maps smaller and the terrain more closed to reduce the fog.

    Official Trailer is here btw:

This is the very first thing I noticed.... all 15 characters all look very different from one another, all have unique weapons, and generally all look badass.

Can't wait to try out this one now.

I would much rather have fewer characters with a greater amount of custom abilities and traits. If every character has the reported three musou attacks, unique powers and special distinguishing fighting styles... Much better than the over-cluttered mass of Shin Sangoku characters. Having five or so spear-wielders with the exact same attacks and similar appearance was incredibly dull and only cluttered the game.

  7. I'm really impressed after seeing the trailer. So is the music going be like the techno stuff in the trailer?

  8. Wow, it looks beautiful. I bet the voice acting will be shit.
    Time for a change

  9. I've always been slightly fond of the Dynasty Warriors games, though I haven't put any real time into it. This sounds pretty good, thankfully. I'll probably be forced to play it anyway, heh.
