    I did this a while ago, and it works great.
    FYI, I have multiple copies of Gyromite and others (like Excitebike) that have Philips screws, and they don't have the convertors. Games that came out real early and weren't republished (like the ROB games) are the best bet, since most of the copies out there were early releases, but any old NES game may have one.

  2. Johnny, I think that list is missing a early set or two. Whether or not SMB was available at launch, I'm pretty sure it was not packed in at launch.

    I know! That's why I'm asking for your and everyone else's input. I think the earlier NES Control Decks and Deluxe Sets came out without SMB1. Which set was the redesigned NES?
