I think I liked Wolverine better, but I'll give you Salvation. They were both shitty movies, but Salvation loses for actually taking itself seriously.

I watched that GT review on the game. I was hoping it was bullshit. I'm glad to hear some positive impressions of it here, because I may give it a go.

Hard to say if GI Joe was better or worse than Wolverine or Salvation. I'd say Wolverine was better because it had better acting and story (such as it was), and Salvation was worse because expectations were so high and McG delivered a stupid movie with no balls and billions of plot holes. GI Joe falls in the middle because it was barely-average in every way.

Good, cause the game is actually fun. No reloading, just mindless action, with a STORY! A STORY BASED ON THE FIRST RUN OF GI JOE THE CARTOON! THEY MENTION THE WEATHER DOMINATOR, THE MASS device, and the cameos of all the joes and cobra agents are mind blowing awesome. YET THE MOVIE couldn't do it ... why? WHO FUCKING KNOWS!

I just saw this. I made the wife see Transformers, so she made me see this.

Anyway, better than I thought it would be. The action was genuinely well-choreographed. I also ended up liking how they handled Destro.

The bad stuff:
Holy shit, the special effects are the worst ever in the CG era. The underwater stuff and the Paris Halo suits and motor cycle made me laugh out loud. I honestly don't know how they released it like that. Quite literally video game grade stuff.

GI Joe isn't American? Whaaaa?????

Baroness IS American? Whaaaaaaaa??????

And even though I liked this Baron-ness (or however they pronounced it), I would have cast a smokin' 40-something MILF.

Whoever made Snake Eye's costume should never design again. Don't even let him near Microsoft clip art or anything. In fact, just take away his pencils and computer.

For that matter, none of the Joes should have been in Batman and Robbin rubber muscle suits. Just give 'em cammo.

The awefulness of Cobra Commander's mask has been covered, but it makes his voice deeper? CC's always been a high-pitched whiny bitch. I'm not saying go that route, but they could have just kept the voice he used for the first 95% of the movie.

Did I mention how retarded it is that the Joes aren't American.

My friend who I went with to see the film, I'm watching him play the game. He's near the end. Its awesome. You get to fight the original HISS tank too.
