GI Joe Movie

You know it's a full-on bomb and raped thousands of childhood memories when the review is (or was—this may change by the time you see this) the most read article on the Toronto Star's site. As the time of posting, it was number one for most of the day.

Anyway, here's the review.

Edit: I just realized that they've since removed the comments section from that page. From what I saw earlier, it was a bunch Advocates railing against the review and reviewer. One fellow went so far as to say he's dying to see to it because it was reviewed poorly, his rationale being movies reviewers enjoy let him down, so the more negative the review the more he's inclined to see/enjoy it. Someone else argued that since The Return of the Jedi was poorly received at first but went on to become a classic (in whose eyes, I'm unsure), G.I. Joe should be a masterpiece.

I hate comment sections in newspapers.

I love to read The Virginian Pilot's comment sections. If it's a murder case everyone talks about how the person should be dragged out into the street and beaten to death. It's hilarious

I liked it. I'm glad it wasn't like the cartoon. I like how they reinvented the storyline. I don't care about the shit they changed mainly because in the cartoon there weren't any back stories for anyone. Nothing for Cobra Commander until Cobra La and I like how they did this better. I like how people died in the movie that they were actually hit, shot in the head, ran over, set on fire, stabbed in the back etc... I'm totally glad it isn't like the cartoon because I'm an adult and If i wanted to have a nostalgic flashback I'll rent the DVDs. So far I've been satisfied with the movies this year. That includes Terminator, Wolverine, Transformers 2 and GI Joe. The way you guys piss over fucking every movie you just need to stop going, but I forgot and this is the internet where the motto is "An opinion is like an asshole... everyone has one and everyone wants everybody to see theirs."

You call that a review? It didn't say why it was so bad, it just said it was bad and I'm suppose to believe that? That review was poorly written. Obviously was a monkey at a keyboard just hammering away trying to make a point at something, but failing to do so terribly. Replace movie with review and you get exactly what who ever wrote that said.

Critics should stop with the insults and comment constructively. Honestly, how many times have we heard about 2 wasted hours of our lives? I have wasted that much time and more reading the critics. See the movie and judge for yourselves.

If you don't like something back it the fuck up with reasons not just bullshit and call it a review and for all you band wagon haters quit reading this shit and go see it.
