Um, yeah. Wow.
I got the AMD one, and it seems to be kicking some ass. Not an incredible difference, but a noticeable one.

He has optimized versions for Intel and AMD cpu's and im telling you it is fast as hell compared to the official builds or even other "optimized" builds.
It literally will give you a 10+ second boost in loading most pages, not to mention the program loads faster etc.
Give it a try and let me know what you think, so far I am extremely impressed.

HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

I mostly use official builds and I see a HUGE difference in speeds here.
Athlon XP
WinXP
3 meg Cable
Seems faster (comparing it against IE). He's using .NET 2003 which at first made me wonder cause I have the original .NET Studio. It doesn't have much in terms of target processors. *sniff* Wish I still had access to a MSDN subscription.

The Windows version of Firebird tends to be slower then IE, The Mac version on the other hand smokes it.
This version does as well... very nice stuff...
Hmm, I did notice a slight increase in speed, but I've grown to prefer Opera's features and look, so I'll just stick with it for my Internet Explorer-less Internet exploring.
To sum up: Fuck IE.
Well, not yet. Microsoft didn't get around to programming genitalia into it yet, but I'm sure they'll release it in a patch in about a year and a half.Originally Posted by Rumpy
yeah i got it, works like a charm, very surprised people know what Firebird is. I used it way back in the .3 builds when it was still under Phoenix. Spread the word.
