  2. ive been seeing the two as describing the same thing. dont know if thats true or not but ive seen several times it being stated as rgb comoponent.

also if i may ask why the WEGA in particular? i just got a JVC I'Art for about $200 less and i also saw a Panasonic Tau for about $40 more than my JVC. great picture on both IMO.

no mine was $340 with 10% off at bestbuy, and the only sony they had at the time was with PiP and it was $500. ive just heard real nitpicky shit when it comes to WEGA's and a lot of those people prefer the Tau's. i think most of it has to do with red's. but like i said its real nitpicky.

so this your first jump from composite to componant? it was for me and i swear its givin new life to a lot of my games i just wish they put more than one s-video jack on tv's anybody have a link to a good switchbox that takes both componant and s-video? i know they're usually quite pricey but wanted to check some out.

  8. RGB and component video aren't the same thing.

RGB has seperate Red, Blue, Green and Sync connections, while Component has a Brightness/green connection and a difference from brightness red and blue connection.

They are both excellent forms of input, but RGB is a hair better than component, but unfortunetly most TVs in North America lack RGB inputs.

There are converters out there to do RGB>Component, and vise versa but they are rather expensive
