  2. Hey Good luck, I took the GRE 5 years ago, it wasn't that bad.... Kinda like SAT, but seems easier to me, maybe I learned a thing or two over the years, hehe.

    Anyway, wish me luck on my GMAT, I am taking that in less than 2 weeks! That one is a bitch, you have to write 2 essays in addition to these crappy stupid multiple choice!

    How bad is the TC test anyway? I'm thinking of getting one along with my Asian Studies Major, but I can't decide.

  4. It depends. Mine was TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and was geared towards PR, so it had a lot of linguistics, phonetics, language acquisition, etc. The test I took had one day for the basic test, which consisted of the education and basic English parts. There were 10 answer keys (A1-J10) and each had a totally different test. Mine was all about operational planning (objectives, skills, etc) and had almost NO philosophy. I've been told that the philosophy version was freakin' hard.

    The English part was taken the following Saturday and was a breeze.

  5. Hmmmm... not sure if I really want to go through that much work. I'm only interested in teaching english in Japan for a few years... and I hear a TC isn't a necessity for that. I'm fairly certain I wouldn't want to teach for the rest of my life anywhere... so that may not be for me.
