Ah, the 10,000th post in Headlines - not counting all those drunken profane tirades from Diffusionx that we had to snip.

While wading through a game store's Sonic collection today, it came to me just how big of a moneymaker the hedgehog has been. (Oops, we promised Sega we would never use the words "has" and "been" together like that when discussing Sonic.) It really is amazing how many Sonic-related images and plastic thingamawhats we've seen since he hit our shores.

We've watched Sonic silently tapping his foot in an idle animation and we've heard his annoying too-kewl-for-you voice. And here, there, and all points in between, we've played and played his games.

In Sonic Battle, the critter returns to an arena he's dabbled in before but has never exactly specialized in. Our own (remaining) fighting game expert tells us if it works.
