Modern Political Theory: Last semester we had the best professor. Any political theorist from antiquity onwards was rendered simple as fuck by this guy. This was the same prof who stormed into class on the first day (of classical political theory last year) and proclaimed, "you guys are getting fucked! The prinicpals don't care about you! The Prof's only care about their research! Just letting you know." (Our school is going through re-tooling, you see. He didn't like the changes.)
This semester we have this Aussie who's okay, but... he's not the same. His lectures are boring and redundant. I really dislike this class now. Bugger...
Canada in a Cold War Context: Did you know that Canada made a machine to ferret out gay people (their potential security risk ascribed to their 'character weakness') in the civil service during the cold war? Did you know they called it the fruit-machine? Yeah, I love this class.
Crime and Punishment during the Cold War: When we aren't hearing crappy presentations, the prof waxes nostaligic about his time doing research in France and talking about this guy in China who gave Aids to everyone in his village as revenge for ill-treatnent recieved from the locals. No exam so I don't mind.
Enlightenment Europe: Can't complain. Like every other European class I take: prof lectures, I take notes, my arm falls off.
Quebec since the 1800: Arguably the best lecturer at University of Toronto (*cough* at scarborough *cough*). He may be a bit dry, but come exam time you'll be greatful for the notes his words yield; they read like a novel about the little province that could.
As usual, there are no attractive women in Canadian history classes. They only seem to appear in European history classes for some strange reason.

This semester I decided to take lesser classes but they're more difficult.
Calculus II - First time I took Calc II I had to drop it. The teacher couldn't teach worth shit. Now I somewhat understand the class but its difficulty is slowly rising.
Italian II - Last year I took part I pass/fail. This year I decided to take Calc II P/F and now I"m stuck with this class as a letter grade. It's difficult as hell. I got a 1.5 on my first quiz. What's worse is that I cannot drop the course.
Poetry and Drama - Good stuff. Go over some plays and Robert Frost poems. I enjoy it and I'm doing fairly well.
Vocal Arts - Singing class. Very fun. I'm learning to be a better vocalist so it helps.
Wee, school is teh fun!
All my classes rock, and it's all thanks to you
The only class I'm in I have a real problem with is health. My God, health class with freshman.
It sucks beyond reason.
DiffX what classes are you taking? (I got Analysis 1[430], Algebra 2[421], Complex Variables[440] and Mechanics 2[physics 400])
I knew he was a commie, cause he didn't drink [duff] beer.
Noboru, Im taking my 2nd term of Real Analysis and Probability Theory. I can thank God for the fact that this is my last term of Analysis (I took Complex last term). Im also taking an elective, bioterrorism and emerging infections.
Next quarter, Stochastic Processes and Game Theory are on the list.
That is easy for you to say, but I've personally never met a smart or interesting girl that liked highschool and aplied her self. They also either goof off and don't give a shit, or try to make good grades and hate all sorts of stupid stuff and have all sorts of drama in there life. But that's just my own experence, sisters and female freinds and what not.Originally Posted by station82o
