I'd like to place my vote for the Contra to be 2D, please, but I'd be shocked - in the best possible way, mind you - if that turned out to be the case. A 3D one might not be bad if handled correctly, though.
No PS2 Castlevania???

I quoted the article below
--------------------------------
Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Konami's most prolific development studio, revealed its lineup for the 2002 fiscal year today. Great games abound for PS2 and GBA, but Gamecube and Xbox commitment remains elusive. (Note: this release list pertains to Japanese releases only.) Here's the lineup:
Winning Eleven (Soccer) for PS One, PS2, Gamecube and GBA
Suikoden III for PS2
Silent Hill 3 for PS2
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance for GBA
Tokimeki Memorial: Girls' Side for PS2
Contra for PS2
Contra Advance for GBA
We'll have a full report on Konami of America's lineup at E3.

Just one of Konami Studio mentioned their titles. I'm sure more announcement will be made prior to E3...Originally posted by BioMechanic

Finally! Winning Eleven series comes to GC! Woohoo!
Oh wait... That's not what most GC owners wanted!!!
Remember that game, Devastators? Wasn't that game alot like the behind-the-back levels from the original Contra? Heck, the Japanese version was even called Garuka (Galca), which is the name of the island where the original Contra took place. They should make a 3D Contra that plays like that.
I think you mean Devastators. Vindicators is the game with the tanks.Remember that game, Vindicators? Wasn't that game alot like the behind-the-back levels from the original Contra? I stand corrected. My bad! I ALWAYS get those two games mixed-up for some reason.Originally posted by Shou-sama

So that means by March 2003 I'll have a new Silent Hill?
...... I, uhm, need to go have some personal time for a while, I think.
Seriously, I might have to have my PS2 shipped to Japan along with a copy of the US version if it comes out quite a bit ahead of time before my getting back.
I want to father Konami's children. Sure, I'd still rather them remake the original Silent Hill for PS2, but the thought of getting another Silent Hill title gives me reason to love again.

New Contra...I'll wait till I see it first.
New Slient Hill, excellent.
