Hell no, OSI can lick my sack. If anything, I'll get a UO client and get on the WTFMan server that I've been hearing so many good things about.
    Play Guitar Hero //

  2. Darkfall looks promising =/

I mean.. I'd still be playing Shadowbane if the game just worked and wasn't LIKE work most of the time. That and, like, only 12 people play it these days. The good thing, and only good thing, to come from SB is that it gave me the chance to have experiences like those (what isn't said is the much more frequent times when game stopping bugs killed any fun or when I get outsmarted in situations like those). I have more stories I'd like to tell, but I want to hear some more from others. FFXI is pretty popular - I'm sure there's all kinds of fun happening there.

I had a player named "GUARDS" on UO. Imagine the fun.

FFXi is fun for awhile, but I miss the PK'ing. They are making new zones, like evil versions of the regular lands, it would have been the perfect opp to add in PK'ing but I don't think Square did it. They are having region vs region sometime, but... I don't know.

No one really has the balls anymore to go with a game that has PK'ing. Like in FFXI, there's NO REASON to join a guild or clan or whatever, because everyone is friendly towards one another and it's impossible to stab someone in the back. It kinds of lessens the bonds you meet, and there's no players on FFXI that you hear about that are "the awesome leader of a clan of notorious PK'ers"

  4. I admit it's what has kept me from signing on for FFXI. That game is so perfect otherwise. So stable, pretty and vast with lots of options and players and I really like Mutliclassing. Melee isn't gimped out in the game (I hear Warriors own) and well... there's just a lot of depth there.

Shadowbane to me was like someone handing me a briefcase full of 100 dollar bills, except all of the bills are cut in half and none of the pieces fit together.

  5. i wish square would answer me and let me know if my pc account for ff11 could be transferred ovet to the ps2 rev (i figure since im getting the hdd and the game for free i might as well play it on the ps2 when im doing other things with the pc).

Well supposedely Mythic has amped up their RvR /PvP battles in the Dark Ages with this new expansion. If PvP is your thing that might be worth checking out. Only reason why I quit playing currently was because my graphics card couldnt handle the big 100 man battles and keep raids going on in the frontier...

  7. Oh I like DAoC alot don't get me wrong. I'm going to be playing it again very soon but I want more in the way of building your own keep or city and strategic fighting over resources (ala an RTS which I would have figured WoW to have). Basically a Shadowbane + DAoC that works. I made a Darkfall thread just now because it seems to have just that.

  8. To celebrate Valentine's Day my Final Fantasy XI linkshell (SAGoons... bunch of Something Awful people that play together) all met up in Jeuno, which is basically the city where higher level characters (read: the Japanese) spend most of their time.

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day by staging a mass suicide in the busiest part of town! We all drank poison potions (enterprising Japanese players brewed more since the auction house sold out of them quickly), caused some madness, and died within a minute or two of drinking the potion. Some priceless moments were had, we had lots of people randomly come up and off themselves to join in on the fun.

Here's a picture of the event:

(the corpse of Sachiel, my character, is somewhere in that pile of bodies)

I'm sure there have been plenty of other good stories, but that's my most recent.

  9. I got EverQuest on day one... it was a goddamn mess. But after about two or three weeks it got playable, and was quite good. I used to play in this town and I would venture out and kill bears and shit... anyway there was this level 47 gryphon that would swoop down once in a while and lay waste to all players in the area. There was a hut, though, so people could hide in that, right? No... for some reason the gryphon could kill you through the hut. What shit.

I dunno if they ever fixed that bug.

    Tracer, you still play Shadowbane?

  10. I no longer play Shadowbane. I will not play it ever again either. I stopped sometime last November. Waiting on Darkfall and about to play DAoC untill that time (which should be awhile). Lineage II might be interesting.
