Sony has announced the next Eye Toy installment for the the interactive USB camera, known as Eye Toy: Groove. Essentially, players can dance away in their living rooms with one of 28 licensed songs including such artists as Elvis, Madonna, and Fatboy Slim. Eye Toy: Groove can be likened to Dance Dance Revolution (without the pad of course), in which players must coordinate their body movements according to the on-screen prompts. Groove bonus points are given just for trying, so the more movement the higher the score.

EyeToy: Groove will include single and multiplayer modes, allowing you to compete against your friends to see who can keep the beat. Plus, the video message feature introduced in Eye Toy: Play returns so you record personal messages for whomever you choose.

Look out for Eye Toy: Groove to hit retailers during Spring 2004. And if you're not privvy to what the Eye Toy is all about, click here to read our hands-on report.
