Today in chemistry class, we were talking about the process of making alcohol and I never realized just how simple it was. So has anyone ever tried making their own alcohol? If so, anyone got any good tips or easy ways to do it?
Unless you want to build a still and carry on the illegal (not to mention dangerous) processes that go along with such, you're not going to produce anything you're going to want to drink, I'd doubt.
That said, I know a guy who built a still over a weekend and has produced quality results, and is fucking around with several recipes to come up with something he really likes.

I have a friend whose family is renowned for their bootleg alcohol. Its fucking strong (50-80%), and relatively easy to drink. They've been doing it for as long as they can remember. They reckon that as long as you don't try and sell it, the cops don't care.
