Energy Drinks - Who uses em?

I love Red Bull. Not being a smoker, drinker, unsafe sex-haver, or drug user, Red Bull is my most conspicuous unhealthy vice. I wanted to start a Red Bull specific thread, but korian had gotten there first back in 2002 (and that one was locked).

There are new (I think within the last year or so) 12oz cans:



Hard to tell scale from the pic, but it pretty much just looks like a blown up version of the 8.3oz can. A truly glorious sight for those of us who love the drink, but after emptying one, are always left thirsty for just another few sips.

RE: Bigger Red Bull Cans -- I used to always have at least 8 "standard" Red Bull's in the fridge at any given time.

That's just fucking scary. It just seems like too big of a dose.

Anybody try the "Vitamin Water"-branded Energy Drink yet?

I'm a big fan of Red Bull, and I even like Rockstar, but I don't drink either of them for the energy. Strange as it may seem, I love the taste. In fact, I wish they had less caffeine, at least Rockstar--I get jittery if I drink that shit too late and try to sleep. I usually drink one of these when I'm with friends that are drinkin' booze as it's at least slightly less embarrassing than drinking virgin margaritas at a bar.

I too love the taste of Red Bull. The increased motivation and general optimism I experience after drinking one are half the fun during the day, but I'd be all about a non-hyper version for those weekday cravings after 6PM.

I made a strict rule years ago to never have more than one a day, and I've never broken it. I remember reading that Red Bull themselves recommend you not exceed two per day. That's a little disturbing.

The 12 oz Red Bull came out quite a while ago up here, and I really like the can! Not only does it look cool next to the little one, it's very pleasing to hold and it feels like the "just right" amount to me.

However, they have the 16 oz ones now too. And those... yeah. I drank one once and I'm not positive it's a great idea. Also my shit looked weird afterwards.

My new favorite energy drink is the Rockstar Punched. It tastes like Hawaiian Punch. The new purple flavor of Monster Energy kinda sucks. And the Vitaminwater energy drinks aren't so hot. The Beacon Hill 7-11 had them, but after moving I don't see them as much.

I've stopped using 'em as cheap speed since college, but a can of Red Bull helps when I sit down to start sketching out ideas. Just kinda loosens up the creative thinking.

Pot is pretty worthless for that, in my experience. Can't lift a pencil on the shit. Haven't touched it in... two years now? But I digress, this is completely the opposite direction for the thread.

I'm a fan of all drinks Monster. Their normal drink is good, but they also have good juices and now even amazing coffee drinks.
