What does your avatar mean to you?

Mine means that Heatmiser is a badass.

Wasn't that guy from one of those christmas specials like Rudolf and Frosty the snowman? I can remember another guy like him but they called him freezemiser and he looked pretty freaky.

Funny thing I just noticed, on AVP2 one of the marine chicks has him drawn on her armor with the name included. She's even packing a flamethrower and fire hair style!

My avatar means a lot to me. Not in a weird strange way, but Hattori Hanzo has a lot to do with how much I love gaming.
SNK was the first company that I ever cared to know about. I was perhaps eleven or so and at that time, I very rarely cared who made a game. I knew only that Mario was Nintendo, and that Sonic was SEGA. And that's all I really cared about. I also wasn't really into gaming. I played mainly with friends.
But then I saw it. Samurai Shodown. It drew me in a lot more than the then current "King of the Arcade": Street Fighter II. The characters just had more personality, and one stood out.
Of course it was Hattori Hanzo. I played the game, chose the "bad-ass Ninja" and feel in love. I started looking for all of the SNK games that I could find. I even remember when I learned that SNK was behind the baseball game and 8-Man that I always played at the local Pizza Hut.
This all made me notice that I could pay more attention to who actually developed the game. And in turn it all led to me getting into gaming more than I ever had before.
If I was to post one of those LiveJournal Colorbars, it would say "Hanzo is Gaming."
So there, I use this avatar because in a strange way, without this character I wouldn't be on these boards. That simple.

See, I got bored again and did this one up. I think this is the first non-animated one I've done in forever. I got excited about this new anime series and the character designs and just HAD to make it in a avatar....plus do other art with it too.

Mine is the "tian" symbol on the back of Gouki/Akuma's gi.

I just couldn't find a good image of the actual character as seen in SF by itself, but a friend of mine managed to find the symbol on some website and colored it to look like the SF ones. I kinda like this version of it, so it stuck...
