Thread: The Official "Game Over" thread

  1. The Official "Game Over" thread

Who's planning to watch this show based on a video game family in cyberspace.

    http://www.upn.com/shows/game_over/

  2. Wrong forum, buddy.

And this is the first I heard of it....but omfg it's on at the same time as Teh OC..omg I cannot watch this then.

  3. Actually, I figured it would just end up going off-topic from Cinemania.

    But anyways, off it goes.

  4. It looks retarded. It'd make more sense to just bring back Captain Lou as Mario and let him dance for 22 min.

  5. It will certainly be interesting to see how a gamers medium is expressed in open media,...
or it could be a testment on how cliche ridden the publics veiw on video games and thier players really is.

Can't say that I'm all aboard on this show.

    ...Nicely animated, though.
What the heck, I spy it tommorow. It could be just a carefree romp, with a few fan service jokes here and there.

    Did somebody say mario?

"Your soul better belong to Jesus, mmm-mmmmm..... cause your ass belongs to me!"

  7. The next great sitcom...

Captain Lou & Ron Jeremy both dressed up as Mario and working as a pair of tough-as-nails ex-plumbers turned pasta vigilantes. Plus they constantly argue as to who is the real Mario.

  8. Sounds like a great idea, but I don't think kids want to get involved with a porn star.

  9. Toon Zone:
In the aftermath of the "Janet Jackson's Booby" incident, broadcasters are clamping down on risque material, but for those of you who thought animation would be passed over, think again. According to the Los Angeles Times, UPN has ordered the producers of Game Over, a computer-animated television series about a family of video game characters, to remove nudity and certain language from the pilot episode, set to air this Wednesday. Among the scenes executives ordered removed were a two-second shot of a woman's buttocks and a "scatological epithet."

Thanks for the bump. Looks like it has some potential. I'm definitely going to try to record the premiere.

BTW, can someone delete the other thread I made? Thanks.
Taking it one day at a time.
