Well, everybody is in bed with everybody else aren't they?
NOTHING will surprise me now. (Except SEGA saying no more XBOX games, I mean please...)
All these surprise announcements and revelations are beginning to be too much!
I wouldn't have believed it myself unless I read it in print (and then read it again, and again). But it's true. Nintendo and Namco have joined forces to bring several Namco titles to the Gamecube and GBA platforms.
At present, a total of six titles are in development for the Gamecube, scheduled for release by the end of 2003 (which includes the highly anticipated, sequel Soul Calibur and Mr. Driller). Additionally, eight Namco titles are scheduled to appear on the Game Boy Advance by the end of 2002.
And if you've heard the rumors about Namco, Nintendo and a certain new Starfox title being in development among both of these two major publishers - they're true. (You can close your mouths now). No further details regarding the launch plans for the domestic market have been announced...but I am sure that we'll hear something at E3 (wehopewehopewehope)!
Below are the titles in development for Gamecube and GBA.
Gamecube
Mr. Driller (working title) - November 2002
Soul Calibur 2 - January 2003
