in the final game, you can dictate how long they stay. i just put 9999 as the default and they seem to stay forever.![]()
Don't bodies of fallen mercs dissappear pretty quickly after you have shot them? In the demo I have they did.

In the demo, "easy" still seems pretty hard. Certain enemies can sap your health bar in no time flat.
The bodies stay pretty long. With the ragdoll dead body physics, it's cool to just shoot bullets into limbs and make them flail around.
Just tried the demo. I get about one frame every three seconds, so... um, yeah.
it did chug on my powerPC a little. And that beast can handle almost anything you throw at it. (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver all open and running at once. Although it's stupid of me to do that)
I'm really thinking about getting this game. I had a lot of fun with the demo and would like to explore it a little bit more. I'll have to check out the reviews of this game, to get a brief synopsis of what it is I'm going to be doing.
That and I have to wait until April anyway, since I'm a poor sonofabitch right now.

[edit] Nevermind, it's working now.I think it's probably the lighting or some other effect that was causing that, I thought I had turned everything to low but wasn't paying attention. This would be easier to figure out if I didn't have to restart the game every time I wanted to change a video option.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of dirty code in there. Left within some area's of the game. It seems to work once you fiddle with the settings a bit... which is bad because you're not playing it exactly how they wanted you to.

Andy lent me this game like 20 years ago and never bothered to pick it up again. I think he was handing the shit off on me. I tried playing it and got decently far before getting too pissed about super-accurate AK-47s sniping me from 54987650926 miles away. Put it down for years.
Once it's released on Steam I remember that I never made it through this shit-fest. Being something of a gaming masochist, I decide to give it another go. Unreal bested me by being the worst, longest, most boring fucking game I ever tried to beat. I wasn't going to let this get one over on me. Got up to the part with the trigens this time, but the game was still as bad as I remember. Stop playing again for a couple of years.
Few weeks ago I'm hanging out with Nick and he mentions FarCry as one of his favorite games of all time. Apparently, it gets better later on. You turn into a monster? Fine, I'll give it another go.
Now I'm sure that I'm close to the end, and at no point have I turned into a monster. And even if I do, there are such few levels left that the overall experience will be shit, since the shit bits will greatly outnumber the fun beast bits that will somehow transform this game into non-shit. I'm beginning to think you maybe did not play FarCry PC, Nick, but some other game that is similar and does have the beast aspect, maybe one of the Xbox ports. I really have no idea.
I hate this game and I kind of hate you a little now.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
My Backloggery
