Thread: Saturn recommendations

  1. Sexy Parodius is a great one too. Then there's Keio Yugekitai for your bizare/cute 2D platform needs.

  2. As far as quirky platformers go, I've heard good things about Tryrush Deppy.

Despair beat me on mentioning Princess Crown.
You might want to look into Cotton 2.

I can also recommend Elevator Action Returns, it's still pretty neat to play through at times. I keep forgetting to unlock the original game again (thank you for dying, CR2032).

As far as the actual game looks, Saturn. And if you like inflated scores
The PS version came out a good half year after the SS one, so the PS disc is the one that has all of the frills and extras. Analog control for the Free Range is pretty cool, too.

Still, I'd pick the Saturn type.

I third the nomination for Princess Crown, but be willing to drop about 80 bucks on it when it does show up on Ebay.

What's a good price to pay for Elevator Action Returns? I know someone who's selling a copy for 40, but he has a tendency to either a) over-inflate the price by a ton or b) not know what something is worth and sell it 10-15 bucks cheaper.

What is the language barrier like on Princess Crown?

  6. If you find it for cheap, check out The Yakyuken Special

  7. I sold an extra copy of E.A.R. on the eBay a few months ago for $68. So I'd jump at $40.

There's a bit of a language barrier, but GameFAQ's has a complete FAQ for this game, so it's not a problem.

    Thanks then. Anyone second this?

I just have to make doubly sure, the guy I'm buying from tried to sell a Capcom 4mb cart for 30 dollars recently

  9. That's a fine price. If you don't take him up on it I would want to. :P

  10. Ok good then.

He runs a business out of the local flea market, but I think I'm the only one in town with a Saturn, let alone one that can play japanese games, so I don't have any worries of it still being there next week.
