Yeah, it should be in the manual. Why Namco and Sammy did it that way is odd, but meh...

just curiouse, does running progressive scan PS2 games eliminate/reduce some of the jaggies found in PS2 games?
It's clearer and has better colours IMO, but the jaggies show up more and you see just how pathetic PS2 textures really are in comparison to even a Dreamcast. 2D games that use progressive scan like GGX2 are a fantastic sight and should be used at all times.
Yeah if anything progressive brings out all the flaws even more....but I love nice sharp jaggies, so I'll take that over blurry dancing edges anyday...GGXX is a sight to behold as he said...I usually run it on my 27 inch RGB monitor though, so I don't have to deal with hooking it up to progressive input for that one freaking game...Originally Posted by marwan
The biggest plus to using progressive scan mode on games like GGXX, is that you get nice clean blur free movements, so 2-D animation that is hi-res looks really fluid and clean...
werd.
"50,000! You scored 50,000 points on Double Dragon?"
I usually use www.hdgames.net. It's searchable, sortble, and people will discuss how to get HD in certain games, what regions have it and when/how it was dropped. Check it out. Good stuff too IMO.
That's what I usually use as well. If only they would get like a real message board.
It seems Namco is the only Japanese company that uses progressive scan with any regularity for the PS2. I find it very disturbing when a game like Legends of Wrestling 2 has it and yet Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution doesn't. Is it that hard to put in?
Yes. It has to be done in software, and the resources hit is huge.
