It was difficult enough trying to imagine how many gamers would get excited about <i>Starsky & Hutch</i> (even with the recent theatrical release starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson), and now <i>The Dukes of Hazzard</i> is back again for another dose of video game action.

What is it with all these sudden remakes of "classic" TV shows?

In any event, Ubisoft announced <b>The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee</b>, scheduled to hit the Xbox in October 2004. You'll step into the shoes of Bo and Luke as they race to win prize money to save a local orphanage from Boss Hogg's latest crooked scheme. And yes, you can expect all of the regular characters from Uncle Jesse, Cooter, Sheriff Rosco, Enos and the vivacious Daisy Duke (yum).

Here's a breakdown of the game's features:

homespun action of the original television show. .

<li><b>Dukes Celebrity:</b> Full cast represented from the show, with
voice-overs and likenesses from John Schneider (Bo Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke
Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), James Best (Roscoe P. Coltrane), Ben
Jones (Cooter) and Sonny Shroyer (Enos Strate).

<li><b>Variety of Playable Vehicles:</b> Players can control a variety of
vehicles including the General Lee, the Black Charger, Uncle Jesse's Pickup,
Daisy's Road Runner, Cooter's Tow Truck, Rosco and Enos’s Police Cruisers,
and Boss Hogg’s limousine.
