New PS3 and PSP news.

When are they going to learn, nobody wants a handheld console that has 50,000x the power that sent man to the moon, and can be snaped in half if you site down to quickly. Fast, fun, simple gaming on the go,wtf is wrong with that? Gameboy held its own against all over handhelds that were vastly superior in graphics for 10 years, because Nintendo dident do stupid shit like have the console wider then your head mass or battery power that runs out by the time you walk out the front door.

Making the PSP more powerful then it is has bad news written all over it.

If I want to play games with console quality graphics, I'll stick with my Gamecube & Xbox. What's the point of making a portable with those kind of graphics? Portable gaming is supposed to be gaming on the go, a little here, a little there, not marathons.

I don't want Nintendo to try and outdo Sony.

Actually, no... the graphic overhaul of MGS is fairly superficial, it's not that impressive. The gameplay overhaul, incorperating MGS2 standards, isn't. It plays quite differently.

What im saying is, the latest scheme developers are using, are revamps, remakes, mix ins, etc etc. I predict, we will be seeing many half breeds popping up on the PSP. Im ASSUMING! that the PSP wont be the franchise free haven Sony are making it out to be.

I have a feeling that there is going to be alot of simple pick up and play games for it still. Games that could probably just be loaded into RAM, eliminating alot of checking with the disc and reducing power consumption.

When you want pick up and play on the go, you got it, when you want epic adventure while tethered to a power outlet, you got it.

Im guessing that he meant that since the screen is so much smaller, you wont really be able to tell the drop in detail in poly's. Supposidly the PSP is able to do some hardware special effects that the PS2 couldnt do.

Actually it does look better. If that was PS2 graphics, it'd be all jaggy. Also the textures seem to be cleaner than what I usually see on the PS2.

I personally wouldn't be worried about battery life. Like JMET said, they have been doing the whole portable thing for quite some time now. Most portable Sony products that I have used have had great battery life and I don't see why that should change with this one product.

Finally, all this wacky speculation is fine and all, but maybe we should wait till E3 or something. Then people can see and test the darn thing in person.
