Thread: I have a PC Engine. Now what?

  1. I have a PC Engine. Now what?

So I picked up a PCE on eBay a few months back, and I've been enjoying the few games I have. It came with both parts of R-Type and Side Arms, which are both excellent. I also bought Sonson 2 from Wilykat, and it's also a lot of fun. But I need to know... what are the games I need to be playing? I'm not looking to drop a ton of cash right now, and I can't play any CD games at the moment, but I am looking to increase the size of my library for this thing.

For the record, I do have a few more games for my TG16 than I do for my PCE... Dragon Spirit, Shockman, Splatterhouse, Dragon's Curse, and the second Bonk game.

    Recommend away!

  3. Thanks. I figured there'd be something like this... I searched and found nothing, though.

Gunhed. All you need is Gunhed. The US verison would probably be cheaper, tho.

  5. Try Ninja Spirit and behold one of the best Ninja games ever. Also, you should get Bomberman just to behold the world's worst box art...

    Seconded. (He means Blazing Lazers.)

Also, buy a Duo. Most games I'd recommend are on the CD formats.

US hucards will not run on a PCE.

    Get Soldier Blade, great shooter.

I want to buy the least amount of hardware and be able to play US and Jap PCE games, as well as CD games (most notably, Dracula X).

Someone PM me or hit me up on AIM and learn me some knowledge.

    Either...

    a Japanese duo and a TG16

    or

a US duo and a converter.

The first route is probably cheaper, both routes allow you to play everything except SuperGrafx titles (all 5 of them).

The PCE/Turbo has no territory lock out, nor piracy protection, for cds. Just hucards are the issue.

    I didn't want to hijack the thread... ;_;

    BUT!

I remember reading in the Gamefan Graveyard article something about needing some kind of Arcade Super System card or some junk like that to play Dracula X. WTF is that?

And I'll probably go with the first option of buying both systems.
