Hey guys! I'm new to this wonderful site and would like to ask everyone, how would you rate some of these fine actors in the scale of 1 to 10, and if you can be bothered then tell a reason, why you rated them that way too, ok here goes:
Johnny Depp(Edward Scissorhands, Fear And Loading In Las Vegas, From Hell, Donny Brasco)
Sean Penn (Dead Man Walking, I Am Sam, Carlito's Way)
Brad Pitt (12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Se7en)
Denzel Washington(Malcolm X,Training Day, Philadelphia)
Tom Hanks(Castaway, Philadelphia, Saving Private Ryan)
Jimmy Stewart(It's A Wonderful Life, Vertigo, Rear Window)
Russell Crowe(Insider,A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator)
Marlon Brando(The Godfather, On The Waterfront, A Streetcar Named Desire)
Robert De Niro(Taxi Driver, Raging Bull)
Edward Norton(Fight Club, American History X, Primal Fear)
Al Pacino(Scarface, Scent Of A Woman, Godfather)
Kevin Spacey(American Beauty, Usual Suspects)

Welcome to the Boards Jason! and cool to see another person into Movies.

Ok here are my thoughts.

Johnny Depp 9 cause he plays dark and a variety of strange characters + Edward Scissorhands!

Sean Penn 9 I liked him in I am Sam alot and in Colors plus a good director.

Brad Pitt 6 when he is not playing a pretty-boy but quirky dark characters.

Denzel 10 Love his work

Russel Crowe 8 Gladiator haven't seen many of his other flicks.

Deniro 10 when he is not doing 15 minutes and crap like Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Tom Hanks 9 cause of Big!

I'll rank them in order of how much i like their work:

Sean Penn-rarely ever is in a film that isn't good. has worked with tons of great directors like woody allen, oliver stone, terrance malik. I loved him in the thin red line and ridgemont high. plus he is a good director.

Johnny Depp- stared in many great films, including some of tim burton's best works.

Al Pacino- one of the coolest acting styles, and he doesn't do crap unlike Pitt or DeNiro sometimes do. Simone, which is coming out later this year, should be really good

robert deniro- the lead actor in so many of scorces's classics. loved him in raging bull

brad pitt- i love se7en, and he was good in that. funny in fight club, truly bizzare in 12 monkeys. plus he took a big pay cut to be in snatch, which was cool of him.

I don't like any of the other actors mentioned

Welcome aboard. I would say Brando and Deniro are solid tens, though they have been in some horrible movies.
