Bad CMOS/Boot Sector Checksum
After an Ad-Aware session which found a bunch of Kazaa and eDonkey related spyware (I didn't install them :/) when I restarted my computer I saw a checksum error flash up for a second (not sure if it was CMOS or Boot Sector) and then the computer asked me to insert a bootdisk. The bootdisk worked but it couldn't install CD support, so I restarted the computer. This time it loaded fine, except the startup screens look different and when I finally got into Windows 98 it automatically reinstalled some communications ports.
I'm scared some bad shit is going on, how can I find out if my computer has been jacked?
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
