Thread: FreeRAM XP

    Uh-oh FreeRAM XP

I've been using this program for years, but I thought I'd go ahead and let everyone else know about it. It's called FreeRAM XP.

It's a great program that you can automatically set to defrag. you RAM after a certain amount of time or when it reaches a certain percentage of usage. The benefits are that you'll get better and longer performance out of your computer since needless stuff is cleared from memory. This is especially good for dealing with programs with memory leaks.

The only thing that you need to be warned about is to be sure you have it saved at the location you want to keep it before running the program for the first time. It sets itself up to run from whatever location that you first run it so I usually create a directory for it in Program Files and run it there. You can get FreeRAM XP Pro here: http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3000-...ml?tag=lst-0-2

Post questions and comments about the program here.
Taking it one day at a time.

  2. I think TechTv just said something about this in their e-mail list the other day.

Works way better than RamBooster which is what I used to use.
