Yeah, all the cosplayers I seen were pretty bland. If it was a video game, it was Street Fighter, Mario, Zelda, and lots of Final Fantasy (playstation generation FF, of course). Unless it was Naruto, all the anime cosplayers seemed to base their outfits on just Cartoon Network anime.
Shidoshi, why'd you ask about the guns? Did you see a pic with someone with a real looking gun? There were two security guards you had to pass to get in.

Maybe I'm just getting older and a little more jaded, but it seemed a lot smaller and less exciting this year. I still had some fun but comparably it wasn't as cool as previous years.

The only cosplayer that stood out for me was the Witch Hunter Robin chick - She was done up wicked-cool.
