Thread: Wireless Game Adapters w/ WPA?

  1. Wireless Game Adapters w/ WPA?

Does anyone know of any wireless game adapters that use WPA for authentication/encryption and not just WEP? I just switched my wireless network to WPA and would rather not have to switch it back. (And I REALLY don't want to have to run another network cable through the walls here...)

    Thanks in advance...

  2. Neither the PS2 nor the GC have any wifi adapters.

    Try some Wifi ethernet bridges:
    - D-Link DWL-G810 802.11g Wifi-Ethernet Bridge. D-Link's website says it will have WPA by Q3 2004 via a firmware upgrade.
    - Hawking has this one. It actually does WPA. It's got three modes: a wireless access point, a bridge and an AP-bridge. $85-$95, if you can find it.

Look up some other bridges, there may be more out there that support WPA.

  3. I'll prolly go for the Hawking, then, as we use Hawking print servers at where I work and they've worked well for us. D-Link, on the other hand, has been a real POS in my experience. (I ended up replacing a D-Link WAP/router and PCMCIA wireless network card with Linksys versions recently because of issues they had.)

    Thanks!
