[tools > internet options > change the homepage addy > apply] didn't work?
It's now my IE homepage and I can't change it. I do an ad-aware scan and get this crap:
Vendor:CoolWebSearch
Category:Malware
Object Type:RegValue
Size:-
Location:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\
Last Activity:4-15-2004
Risk LevelLow
Comment:"HOMEOldSP"
Description:No Detail Information Available.
I remove it but it comes back. What do I do?!

Download CWShredder from here.
If you have Spybot S&D installed (or for that matter, any other program that'll lock out various bits of IE so they can't be changed), check and make sure it's set so that you're allowed to modify IE control panel settings from within IE. That pissed me off a few times.
make your homepage about: monkeys
It's always funny.

Just read the tutorial before you do anything, I just remove almost everything that looks funny, like refereces to companies I don't know, it breaks IE sometimes, but then I force the persons computer to use firefox, with eliminates about 90% of this crap..
