some help finding cheap net access

I may need to cut down the bills a little and giving up cable access isn't a thing I'm willing to part with, so if anyone knows of a good free service or anything it would be great cause I could use the help.

If you already have a land line get dial up. If you don't then cheap internet access doesn't really exist.

I found the cheapest internet access for me is an airport card in my ibook. There's all kinds of wireless networks I can mooch off of around here, it's great. Free, high speed internet.

Well I've seen some free ads for cable, but they've always been outside my area.

You're using wi-fi ain't you? How good is that for gaming?

I dunno, I don't PC game. I get anywhere from oh 128k/s to 1MB/s depending on what network I'm sponging from. As far as latency and lag and all that, I have no idea.
