I'm looking to get a DVD player that also supports Divx and possibly other PC format video standards that's also region free. So far I like this one:

It plays Dvix/Xvid/Ogms with subtitles and is also firmware upgradeable through downloads from the company's website. The only downside is that it isn't region-free. Can't have everything I guess.
Most of the other players I've seen only support Divx w/ no subs and aren't upgradeable.
Any other recommendations?
Sorry 'bout that, thanks.
Well, my KLH DVD player is, much to my amazement, region-free, and does play computer video file formats. The only one I've gotten to work consistently is MPG, although I don't recall ever trying a DivX vid on it.

Well, it can be made to be Region Free... you just need to change the Firmware.Originally Posted by Yamcha

Whoa, that's awesome, thanks. BTW, it says the player plays DVD-RWs and CD-RWs...I assume this includes regular CD-Rs and DVD-Rs as well?
