Thread: Imperishable Night?

  1. Easier to complete yes, but completing the levels "In time" is another story. Unlike the 2 previous games, where you get the good ending simply finishing it on one credit, in Imperishable Night, the time affects your ending.

  2. Version 0.02 is now available for download on the official Shanghai Alice site. Not that most of this taste blind board will care.

I have also removed my host of 0.01, for those with 0.02, enjoy.

  3. It's odd that I didn't really dig their previous shooters at all, but I really enjoyed the demo of IN. I have no idea why since the games seem to follow a similar style and I still dislike the character art very much, but I ended up playing the demo right to the end the first time and have done the same several times since, even though I'm still very bad at it.

Off to downloading the new version I go.

  4. Auto-bomb has been replaced by a "border of life and death". Which basically means when you get hit you have a second delay from dying. During this second, you can use a bomb to kick start your soul back into the land of the living.

Also more points are now awarded for blue chip colection. Below -80% blue.

Heh, found out this the hard way when I didn't pay close enough attention to a boss pattern and ended up dying anyway because I was expecting it to auto-bomb.

I really like the backgrounds of the game, though I only ever notice them in replays. There's something soft and almost painted about them, which is a welcome change from Shikigami 2's low poly enviroments.
