Oddly enough, both the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the Subaru WRX STI weigh exactly 3,263 pounds.

Duh. It's like a damn chess match between those two, so I've heard/read. They try to stay the same or better on everything over the other. A lot of their roadtest times are incredibly similar, too.

I dunno about the stock system in a WRX, though I do know that the WRX STI does not come with a radio at all.

I've heard that it's due to weight issues. They kind of nickle and dimed the weight down for some reason I can't remember.

If they put the same setup I got in my WRX in a 30k+ STi, I'd be pissed. Actually, I'm kind of pissed that the WRX sounds so crappy. My '96 Sunfire had a better stock system.

What really sucks for me is that I put Infinity Kappas (I love 'em) in the Sunfire with a sub and it sounds about 1000X better than the WRX.

By the end of this summer, I'll have either Alpine, Polk, or Infinity in the Subaru. I wish I was made of money. Good thing I have lots of games and toys to sell.

Me too, by a considerable margin at that. Though, I must say, I like the old buggy headlights over the newer, sharp-looking ones. The front end looked a lot more distinctive with those bubbly ones. I'm glad my father got his WRX while they were still standard. The new ones just seem too generic (though I don't think they're ugly), while the old ones gave the WRX a different look.

6 pounds isn't going to slow down a car that much.

The STI and EVO are comparable, one is quicker 0-60 and the other is quicker in the quarter mile.

Mitsubishi isn't satisfied with that, which is why the Lancer EVO MR is coming.

You wouldnt think a Geo Metro can really go that fast, right? That is what my cousin thought. He was a little drunk, and he knew he was speeding. However, he thought he was doing 80 (that is what the speedometer goes to in a Metro). When he was pulled over the cop informed he was doing 135mph...wtf?

Anyway, he is going to try and argue that down in court on the basis that a metro cannot possibly go that fast. The dui does not help his case any though.

Shit I'm pretty drunk right now, I think maybe 90 is a good estimate , Idon't know, a Metro going over 100 is a pretty crazy idea. I think the cop fucked your friend over.
