Well graphics overall are poor poor poor. When you have Ninja Gaiden in clean HD 480p on Box and then go back and can't even get O3 in HD, yes there are major differences. The PS2 has reached its max I think and it just isn't good enough. This game looks like ass on a HDTV, which is a shame -- come on Capcom, get that shizz in HD please.

yah, not to mention that i have a widescreen HDTV and oni 3 doesnt even support in widescreen mode

oh and one more thing, i hope this game goes back to it's root like Oni 1 and 2, i prefer the feudal japan atmosphere than the paris crap!

  3. I'm shocked at both of you. If you despise the game so much, go sell it.

True, I tend to do that when I play too long and get too critical. That's when I fire up Kid Icarus and thank god for better graphics.

  6. Come on people, stop the whining. Not everyone has HDTV yet, so whining about lack of support for that this generation is in vain. You act like you expected PS2 to give you Xbox quality.

Oni 3 looks great for PS2 game.

ok fine......but i was hoping for 16:9 to say the least. damn it, all they have to do is view a little more of the side to fit the screen on a widescreen TV(i guess)

  8. Maybe more people will give a fuck about HDTV when there's more than 10 channels and it doesn't cost extra.

"Hay guzy check it out I payed 1200 dollars for this TV and now I can see the razor bumps on kobe's face!!"

Until the price drops on HDTVs, they become more accessible, and more games on the whole don't look like crap on it (next gen sys 2 years from now and XBOX), then it's going to be a while before more companies start supporting it. Not only that, but PS2 isn't gonna be the system to support it widely, because almost all of their games' flaws will jump out at you link ninjas in that format

Yo Yo Yo!!! I never said I hated the game. Damn folks, it was good (my favorite so far is #2 though). I played the hell out of it and am going through it again. I'm just saying that the world isn't as behind as you think. And there is no freaking reason why PS2 can't run HD games as well, GGXX does it and it looks amazing, so to ask Capcom to do what a much smaller Sammy has already done, is not asking too much.

The game is good. The graphics are no better than they were years ago when they first started doing games like this, sorry, but it's the truth. Fully 3-D backgrounds are nice and all, but the overall graphic work in this game is bland. So yeah, I like the game, but it's time for Capcom and PS2 to step up and give us the full-deal. I mean GC is doing RE4 in HD, Xbox is running HD, so there is no reason that PS2 can't do this as well.

Besides, HDTVs are NOT 1200 bucks, mine when they first came out was only 700...now you can get a widescreen samsung for 600 bucks, so cost is not what you think...

I'd say that's more of a "There's always another evil lurking" ending like a lot of movies and TV series do. But seeing as how this is Capwe'refinallygoingtotakedownUmberellacom I'll bet there'll be more but under a subtitle or some such.

    The Xbox performs just fine.

Have you played more then five minutes? It switches back and forth.

How dare we complain about how one system refuses to catch up to something that is widely supported on both of their competitors!

At least it doesn't have the cameras of Onimusha 2. I'll take some bland and blurry art design over that horrid piece of crap any day of the week.
