    Apple expands iBOOK Repair Program

"The Mac maker late Wednesday said it is offering free repairs to iBooks that have various display problems after the machines boot up, such as scrambled or distorted video, the appearance of unexpected lines on the screen, and video that freezes or displays intermittently."

    See article for more details.

Taking it one day at a time.

  2. Yeah. They made it easier for us AASP's to set up the dispatch for the machines, too. Good stuff all around. I get this info early from Apple, but they have a non-disclosure policy until a certain date after the info is received.

This is a good thing because we got at least three machines which fit the symptoms but not the serial number range after the announcement of the program in January. Some funny info: Their temporary fix before they caved into the pressure was a little plastic standoff we placed over the graphics chip after any repair which exposed it. It wasn't a fix, though.
