I guess they learned that they shouldn't have given the series to a different dev team for part 2, considering what a piece of shit game (compared to the original, that is) they made and how that game tarnished the series that until that point looked to be a damn hot property. This Tsuyoshi Tanaka character is the guy behind the first game, right?

The series producer Tsuyoshi Tanaka wants to return to the visual style of the first game.
Thank you jesus. I missed all that beautiful architecture from the first game in the sequel.

I didn't know that... good to hear. Some of the moves were cool, but some looked stupid. Him shooting upside down while flying in the air, made him look like a fish flopping through the air... always looked odd to me.

Besides, it's not like I didn't use guns most of the time in DMC anyway (mostly because playing keep away was so much safer thanks to the camera). Why is that listed like it's solely a problem of DMC2?

[edit] How about a happy comment from me?
The style system sounds really cool. (In Starship Troopers fashion: ) Why yes, I would like to know more.
I completely agree with everything in this post.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  7. Cool news, but there's two problems...

    - The game is a prequel.
I've had enough of all this prequel crap! Move along plz...

    - A new mysterious female character whos involvement is unknown at the moment.
As if Lucia and Trish were just another flavor.

At least Lucia is good enough to have a game for herself.

I just pray they ain't removing the combo system DMC2 had when I didn't lock on to anybody. I can understand going back to basics, but this at least had some style.
