Words becoming links

ok, so when I go to pages on teh internet words like fly, cars, love, view and the like, become links to pages about travel, used cars, online dating and the such. I have tried tons of addwarwe and spyware removal, scanned though my files to delete suspicious ones, and nothing will make this stop. Also, everytime I start up my computer the home page is some search thing that I never porgram it to be.

Has anyone had this same problem and know what causes it and how to stop it?

have you tried a virus scanner? there's a free one online.

if that doesn't help, switch to firefox.

Is it only on certain sites? If so those sites might actually be designed to do that. Kings of Chaos. the TeamXBox Forums, and Googles GMail are three examples of sites that have used the technology. So if it's only happening on certain sites, you've got nothing to worry about.

Sounds like you got some spyware that's embedded with search software.

It was all sites. Even here. But It's gone now.

I just ran like twelve different spyware addware and anitvirus things to get it done though.

Don't know what finally killed the fucker.
