Yes, TechTV is not X-Play. TechTV is TSS, TechLive, Call for help. TechTV is Patrick, Leo, and Jessica Corbin. Adam Sessler and Moergan Webb are NOT TechTV. If they were I'd hate it too! But I don't I miss it cause I live out in the boonies of Southern NJ. I want TechTV, but am happy with the G4 buyout. Cause now I will actually CARE for G4. Seeing Leo on G4 makes me drool. Seeing Jessica or Patrick host a show makes me cream my pants. Seeing a TechTV style G4 game show ... makes me keel over and die. WHY? G4 sucks! That dumb ass game show where a team plays games competitivly sucks. The sports related video game review show sucks. Elwectric Playground and Judgement Day ae okay. BUT THAT DAMN NEWS SHOW ... THAT GIRL IS LIKE MONOTONE ... THE GUY GETS HYPE OVER ANYTHING ... LOOK A WIRELESS GAME PAD! .... ughhh...

I've been watching this new G4-Tech TV channel, since I now get it and this is the worst channel in the history of forever. I thought a channel dedicated to gaming would be up my alley, or atleast in my neighbourhood, and I now see the error of my way.

Watching geeky looking gamers with no charisma battle it out in poorly editted sequences during The Arena is very boring, and annoying. Not to mention every single commercial break is accompanied by 10 minutes of annoying "online" instruction information about things like PDA keyboards and what have you. How about keeping shows like Fresh Gear around and putting all of the keyboard PDA junk I don't want to watch in there? Oh, but then we go back to shows like Pulse, which has two of the most annoying "news anchors" ever.

These idiots can't seem to keep their opinions out of anything. They were talking about Psi-Ops, and every other line would be: "Wow, that's GREAT", and they also alienated a lot of their fans by insulting random things like toasters and hair. "If you have hair, man, what a joke!" They then both look at one another in a lovers glance, burning through one another until the clueless production staff cuts to another 10 minutes of browsing generic "list" sites. Through all of this, my one wish of them cutting Robot Wars due to more ORIGINAL programming did not come to pass. Robot Wars is alive and well and watching two inadamant objects controlled by whiney and hideously grotesque cave troll resembling Brits has never been more brain numbing.

The last issue I have is with shows like G4TV.com where the hosts are all trying to be in your face and hip. The girl with the bleached hair gives boosts and encourages gun sales. The one guy isn't so bad, but all he seems to talk about is Halo and the newest Madden title.

Seeing G4-Tech TV come to fruition makes me understand why some of you were screaming in terror, and also makes me appreciate a show like X-Play, a show which I thought was bad, way more. It's still riffled with shitty jokes and nerdy humour nobody cares about (LOOK AT ME, I'M A NERD, NERDS ARE COOL NOW!), but atleast they fill the show with an equal amount of fresh gaming coverage, interviews AND footage (crisp, glitch free footage).

Sumi Das was a good Fresh Gear host.
