Thread: Power Rangers Dino Thunder for PS2 and GC

  1. Power Rangers Dino Thunder for PS2 and GC

Well, I've got some good news, and some bad news.

Good news is, we're finally getting a next-gen Power Rangers game.

Bad news is, it's from the developers of WWE Crush Hour.

These fucks seem determined to destroy any game concept that I could possibly love. I'd bet these assholes probably had something to do with WWF Betrayal also, but I have no proof of that.

Oh well, here's hoping for the best.

It took some work, but I think I fixed all your mistakes, and said what you truly meant to.

  4. There's an information archive for Power Rangers stuff...wow. The game looks rather nice, actually. The SNES Power Ranger games were great.

  5. I'm down with this.

You know what, Korly? You and I are probably the only two here looking forward to this . . . or the only two who aren't pussies and can actually admit it in public.

  6. Strangely enough, I liked the Power Ranger games for the SNES. I'm actually looking forward to this. This is weird.

Power Rangers and WWE games... It's not like the liscences were works of art in the first place.

I kid, at least about the Powa Ranjaz. WWE, I'm only maybe kidding a quarter.

I actually think a sentai* game done right would absolutely kick (Viewtiful Joe was a step in the right direction), but the odds of this being such a game are slim to none, as this teams superiors will likely give them a dev time of a few months and a crappy budget knowing full well that whatever unpolished trash they throw on shelves will sell fine because to the liscence attached. Sad.

*sentai = shows featuring masked superheroes fighting intergalactic menace

  8. Was there ever a cool Sentai game for JAP PSOne? I thought I heard about an old game called Geppy-X or something that was like a 4 disc set, but I never saw it, or played it.

I'd like a really cool Power Rangers/Voltron/some other giant transforming combining robots game, but I don't think it would ever happen.

In a perfect world, you'd start out in the command center, or the castle, or base or whatever, get an alert about grunts running around (putties, etc) and teleport down to fight them. This would be Streets of Rage style, and when the going got tough, you'd morph into PR form, and have noticably more butt kicking power, cool weapons, and perhps ever secret powers ala Dino Thunder power mode. Then, the giant bad guys would attack the city, and you'd call your zord to go attack him. You'd drive the zord around in it's own seperate mode, and if shit got really out of hand, you (and up to 4 other people in online co-op mode) would combine all of your zords/robots into the big ass MegaZord. Then, it'd go all "War of the Monsters" as you fought in the city streets, possibly getting bonus points for not fucking up the whole town.

A guy can dream, can't he?

    That was super-original.

  9. I only ever liked the original power rangers,, then every series after that became a regurgitation of it.

I used to feel the same way as you, but I think Dino Thunder is even better than the original stuff, and I thought Ninja Storm was pretty cool too, for at least the little bit I saw of it.

By the way, this is the game I was talking about:

    Anyone ever played it?
