Nadia Collection 1 out now (UPDATE: 2 now out!)

While razing my Best Buy for $5 games yesterday, I stubled upon this new release by ADV; they've repackaged the first 5 discs as Nadia Collection 1, contains episodes 1-20, plus 2 CD soundtracks. BB has it for $32. Really great deal.

8/20 update: Collection 2 came out Tuesday. Episodes 20-39, the Motion Picture, and 2 more soundtrack CDs. A little higher, BB price $38, because of there being one more disc, but still, awesome freakin' value.

Also of note, the Arjuna series has gotten a similar treatment as Arjuna Complete Collection (all 13 eps), BB is selling that for $40.

Erm, I guess I'll give a bit of background, Nadia is the anime that put Gainax on the map. Just like EVA, it was directed by Hideaki Anno (pre-psychoanalysis phase), character designs by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, music by Shiro Sagisu. The series was released in 1989, but it's held up surprisingly well over the years.

Whoa, sweet. That's cheaper than amazon, that's selling the same set for $44.

Of course. And I bought Nadia disc one like a month ago for $20.
