About the stupid thing: I don't disagree to much with what he has done. No more or less than any previously elected head. He could pull out the military from Iraq and hope that they get along with the new Interum Government just to get the vote of peace happy people.

Hell, why would you vote for a man who was refused services by the Catholic Church (Kerry)?
This war is the Bush family's war, they just dragged America into it and the Catholic church is only organization more seedy and corrupt then the current U.S. Heads of State.

The way things are going right now, any organization that is against stem cell research is in my eyes evil.

How the hell can you be against that? Do you want pharmacutical companies to come up with stop gap solutions for the rest of our lives or do you wanna actually start fucking CURING these diseases.

War on Iraq aside, I can't vote for Bush for that reason alone.

And the Catholic Church are a bunch of above the law child molesters who get rewarded with invites to the vatican when they get caught holding a kid's dick.

Whoa! Sounds like you need to move to another county.

YAWA: I think that the stem cell thing is just too new. No one is well enough informed about it yet. There is some lawyer who is out there trying to have meetings with all the Senators about the benefits of it and he seems to be getting his message across. I think that you will see alot of people swayed about it in the not to distant future. Poiticians tend to support popular opinion, and the "populus" does not know enough about it and is scared.

PS: I am not Catholic, I was just stating if your going to put reasons about politics you might as well include religion, it was kind of a jab... lol

One of the great things about a two-party system is how it marginalizes radical elements. In a parliamentary system, the radicals can come away w/8-9% of the vote. Their reps then get official time in the Legislature to pimp their whacked-out views.

In a two-party system, candidates for public office need to court the middle 20% which naturally moderates the policies they endorse and, more importantly, moderates public discourse.

The Catholic Church is also against the death penalty, and for the same reason (the sanctity of human life). Since Bush is so high on capital punishment (look at the executions in Texas when he was governor), wouldn't the Church turn him away, too, if he were Catholic?

If I understand you correctly I'm not gonna go into how pissed off your response makes me. The truth is that you may agree or disagree with the war or may like or dislike the current President. I may or may not have put myself into a political game, but right now our success or failure in Iraq will have effects on this country as well. The war is started, and Americans are dying, and the country needs people like me who are willing to go fight and end this thing. Protest the war before it starts, but don't spit in the soldiers faces for doing their job.
