I usually do a hard-drive management every month. It helps to clear out unnessasary files like temp files and such.

so how does one turn off the addresses saved in the IE bar?

I think that's the Page History. Go to Tools, Internet Options and then that window there should be the History. It lets you pick how many days back it saves the urls. Set it to 0 and that should do it.

mine's already set to zero. its been saving addys in the address bar ever since i installed and started using mozilla on occasion to. i wonder if that had something to do with it.

Did you try using Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete > Clear Forms in Internet Explorer?
