Seeing as how there haven't been many kiddie games on the Cube thus far, I would'nt make that too much of a concern.

E3 just passed and already I'm thinking about next year.

    you completely missed the point.

  3. I was excited for the Cube, and it turned out to disappoint me. And it was something of a joke, because of the talk for 'consumer' low-skill games.

    Everything else had been said.

  4. I think the Nintendo DS is a step in the right direction as far as being innovative. Here's hoping they keep up this trend. Of course, getting actual developer support this time for their upcoming new console wouldn't hurt either...

"The video game market (in Japan) has been shrinking since 1997," he said. "There have been a number of reasons given for it, such as the low birthrate, emergence of the used game market, and the growing use of mobile phones.
I thought you weren't allowed to sell used games in Japan?

  5. No, it means an experience so new that you wil have to learn to do it just the same as anyone else.

It's not a hard concept to understand.

  6. What in the world is a "kiddy" game? Animal Forest was a kiddy game, but a lot of people on here love it. Samba de Amigo is a kiddy game - is it bad? Pop'n Music is a kiddy game - a bunch of overly cute characters, huge candy-like buttons. All of the Super Mario Bros. games were kiddy games, as were the Sonic games.

Sorry, that is already a reality thanks to the Sony and their Disc Read Error project.

Although the PS2 doesn't give "wiseass" remarks, it does grind, whirr, can refuse to open or play games, thus making the electronic equivalent of giving you the finger.

Yes... you. When complaining about "kiddiness", your credibilty kind of flies out the window when you have a FUCKING KAWAII ANIME GIRL IN A FRILLY SAILORS OUTFIT WITH MULTIPLE BOWS as an avatar.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

  9. I've nothing wrong with kiddy games, as I enjoy plenty of them. It's just that, when EVERY GAME is like that, it gets a bit bothersome. I want a little GTA every now and then, and those games are a lot harder to come by on the Cube.

I didn't mean to dismiss some great games that have childish looks and gameplay. But I want variety. That's all.

  10. Nomi, what are you talking about? it seems that when you refer to "kiddy", it's simple controls. if that's the case, there's only been like, a handfull of Nintendo games that use 2 buttons or so, and they're all on GBA for the most part.

and another thing, since when does simple controls mean easy? i mean seriously, do have to bring up examples of games that have use no more than 3 buttons and are deep as hell. cause it wouldn't be a problem for us.

yeah, you totally missed the point there.
