Thread: Coca-cola's C2

  1. I mean, I'm just going on memory here, but that what I recall. Propel has some calories, just not much. Maybe 15-20 a serving.

Just grabbed a bottle off of the top of my trash, and it's apparently sweetened with sucrose syrup and sucralose, aka Splenda. Didn't know that. I'm a bit wary of Splenda and this caught me a bit off guard. Not gonna stop me from drinking it, though.

Anyway, it's 10 calories per "serving", but considering you're going to drink the whole damn bottle, it bumps it up to 20. Still, next to nothing considering it's not even marketed as a diet drink. It's... "Fitness Water."

  3. Yeah, everything is by the serving. And I don't think that there's nearly as much sugar substitute in Propel as in diet sodas. If the sucrose is listed first, there's more of it than sucralose.

I did have a badly mixed Kiwi Strawberry bottle once, so buyer beware.

I discovered Diet Vanilla Pepsi last week, and I agree that it may be the least "diet" diet drink out there, followed by Diet Rite and Diet Dr. Pepper.

To answer an earlier question, I believe Coke II faded out of site in Chicago sometime last year, though I never paid much attention to it. I'd want to check before I said for sure it was gone, but I believe it is.

And that blue Pepsi is vile. Good flavor for candy and Pop-Ice, bad for soda. (There, I said "soda.")
That Dragonfruit Vitamin water that yellow looking one for Stress? If so, I had a small bottle of that shit and it tasted nasty as hell. I like the Power-C.

You saw Eric and I drink it in LA and wanted to be more like us. It's ok.

i more or less like all the vitamin water flavors, but kiwi strawberry is by far the nastiest. cran-grapefruit all the way. not a big fan of the green tea either, but the ribos (sp?) root is tops too.

  7. LIPTON ICE GREEN TEA = MASS BEVERAGE PWNAGE

    Yes, yes!
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

  8. Coca-cola should just bring this to the States:

  9. Sounds like an even nastier version than V8. But fuck that. You know what we need here? Calpis Water. Because I'm tired of paying through the teeth for it at Japanese convenience and grocery stores in Boston. Almost everyone I know who tasted it immediately wanted more. In fact, I wish I could find somewhere online to order it at home in PA for a reasonable price.

  10. Water Salad, actually, was surprisingly good. It didn't really have much of a vegetable taste.

If I could have anything, it would be Fanta Lemon. I actually saw FL come out here in the US right before I went to Japan, and then when I got back, it was already gone. I love Fanta Strawberry and Orange, but Lemon is sooooo good.

At least I can get C.C. Lemon, but paying $2.10 a bottle for it is ridiculous. We also need a bigger release of melon soda, because Suncoat's price for it is also ridiculous.

If we're brining over other Japanese drinks, indeed bring over Calpis Water and Calpis Soda. Bring Amino Supli while we're at it. I'd also kill to be able to go to a vending machine and get a hot can of green tea.
