Thread: Video playback timing problems

  1. Video playback timing problems

I have a number of videos that have timing issues, where a typical video player will read a five minute clip as only one minute, and trying to skip around through it will take me to the proper section as designated by the percentage complete but will still only play for whatever few seconds it thinks are remaining. I used to have RealOne installed and for whatever reason it was able to read the proper timing of the broken videos, but now I can't seem to find any install links for it.

Zoom Player, BS Player, Media Player, the new Real Player, Winamp... none of these can play the messed up videos right. Does anyone know of how to fix the timing issues or of any players that might be able to read them properly?

  2. I just started having this too. The odd part is that files I know for a fact played correctly the last time I used them are starting to go the same way.

... Someone answer his danged question.
So I forced my hands in my pockets and felt with my thumbs and gallantly handed her my very last piece of gum.

  3. codec issue, if they are divx play with the settings...

Check buffers settings as well in the player...
